In clinic this week: St. Patrick's Day Putty

Some of our Occupational Therapists celebrated St. Patrick's day by making green putty with their clients.

2 cups boiling water
2 1/2 cups flour (may need more if play dough remains sticky feeling)
1/2 cup salt
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 pkg. Kool-Aid (lemon lime flavor) –OR-   Green Food Coloring    
Gold glitter
**optional: If you choose to use green food coloring, you can add mint extract for scent

1. Mix flour, salt, glitter, and kool-aid.


2. Add oil to boiling water. Mix with spoon until cool enough to knead.
3. Knead until color is well blended.

4. Store in air-tight bag or container.

Fun Activities for Play Dough:
*Roll out dough and create shapes or letters
*Hide small objects such as gold coins, plastic shamrocks, small holiday erasers
*Use kitchen tools or play dough tools to make shamrocks
